Pregnancy Update Week 32…
Christmas week!! Cannot believe I am 32 weeks & it is Christmas already. It’s been a lovely week of spending time with family & having lots of extra help from the hubby who has had the week off. He is able to retrieve things off the floor & do my shoes for me which is a great help!
I did have a bit of a scare over the Christmas Eve weekend when I started to get pretty intense (for early labour) contractions. This happened twice for about 3 hours each time. I nearly went to hospital both times, but decided against it as I really didn’t want to spend Christmas in hospital. Daft, I know, but I’m glad I didn’t as they seem to have totally stopped again now. Little man is moving normally so I’m not too worried.
How big is the baby? As long as a kale stem!
Total weight gain / loss? +13 lb
Maternity clothes? Sadly no Christmas jumper for me this year! I decided to save my money & not give in to buying one that would only last me for one Christmas…
Sleep? Good, especially considering I spent a few nights away for Christmas in a different bed. I did wake up super early Christmas morning & spent 2 hours waiting for Sophie to wake up. I was clearly more excited than she was!
Best moment this week? Christmas!!! Family time & watching Sophie enjoy every minute of her day.
Symptoms? Quite intense Braxton Hicks contractions & generally a little grotty. I soldiered through for the sake of Christmas though!
Food cravings? Cold, juicy foods such as celery, cucumber & peppers.
Food aversions? No, seem to be back to normal nausea wise.
Stretch marks? Yes the old ones are pretty red now – no new ones though! Fingers crossed.
What I miss? Being able to put my own shoes & socks on.
What I’m looking forward to? Not having to rely on someone else to put my shoes on!
Bump? Lots of moving, he has had a few midnight parties this week particularly when the false contractions started up.
