Pregnancy Update Week 35…
A week FULL of hospital & midwife appointments. Although it was rather hectic, I cannot fault how much the NHS have been keeping an eye on me & my little man!
After a routine midwife appointment on the Wednesday, I was sent into hospital due to another potential growth issue with baby. We were put on the monitor which kept showing the heart rate drops, but not enough to be of major concern. After a couple more checks we finally got sent home, but were asked to come in again the next day for further monitoring. Luckily the next scan was much better & we were not there long at all. We then had a growth scan on the Friday. After not seeing little man for nearly 20 weeks, we have now seen him 3 times in the past 2 weeks! All went well with the scan & his growth was progressing nicely. So now… I guess it’s the labour waiting game.
How big is the baby? As large as a honeydew melon!
Total weight gain / loss? +16 lb
Maternity clothes? It’s a good job I have lots of maternity leggings as with all the appointments I am constantly covered in gel!
Sleep? Sleeping well … haven’t quite got to the stage of not being able to turn or get out of bed, but it won’t be long…
Best moment this week? Having lots of positive results from the monitoring & scans
Symptoms? Back ache & nausea.
Food cravings? Celery again!
Food aversions? None.
Stretch marks? Still just the old ones.
What I miss? Having a normal life that doesn’t involve going to appointments every day!
What I’m looking forward to? Getting signs of labour that actually mean I am going into labour rather than it being a total tease!
Bump? Quite quiet, think he is as tired out by it all as I am!
