Pregnancy Update Week 37…
This week has been spent preparing for the new arrival! Lots of DIY, sorting cupboards & batch cooking – nesting has well & truly kicked in. The paintbrushes have been out, the junk has gone into the loft & IKEA have done exceedingly well out of us!
We also decided to stock the freezer with loads of meals as I clearly remember not wanting to cook when Sophie was born! Bolognaises, curries & tray-bakes galore are at the ready!
How big is the baby? As long as a Swiss chard!
Total weight gain / loss? +19 lb
Maternity clothes? Feeling quite well this week so actually manged to lose the pyjamas for a while! Back to the good old leggings 😀
Sleep? Not great – getting those lovely 5 am wake ups again & taking ages to fall back to sleep… Also been waking up with a poorly stomach quite regularly. Sign of labour?
Best moment this week? Getting organised! Makes me feel so much better when everything has a home.
Symptoms? Poor sleep, nausea & upset stomachs in the middle of the night
Food cravings? Pizza – considering it was the last thing I wanted in the first trimester, I really fancied a vege pizza & ended up ordering a huge one & ate the whole thing…
Food aversions? None!
Stretch marks? The old ones are looking really sore & red, but they aren’t actually causing any discomfort. No new ones.
What I miss? Sleep (this isn’t going to change now, is it, for many months?!)
What I’m looking forward to? Baby arriving!!!!
Bump? Still having evening parties & having lots of hiccups (Sophie was a hiccuper too!)
