If you don’t fancy spending the whole day sitting down, perhaps a home workout would be a great way to spend some time? There are plenty of workout videos on YouTube if you don’t own any fitness DVDs. Finding videos online also means you can choose what sort of workout you want to do – cardio? Abs? Pilates? Put your gym gear on, lay out a mat & get moving!

4. Pamper yourself
Have some well-deserved “me time” with a pampering session. You could give yourself a manicure & pedicure, wear a face mask, exfoliate your skin, paint your nails, try a new hairstyle or have a long soak in a bath fragranced with some luxurious bath salts or oils … so many options!
5. Read a good book
Finish your current book or start a new one whilst curled up on the sofa listening to the rain splashing against the windows. If you don’t have a book you fancy to hand, download a new one – there are thousands upon thousands of titles! You could even try an audio book or podcast if you want a good story whilst resting your eyes!
6. Spend time online
There are SO many fun things to do online, it would be impossible to list them all here. A few places to start could be playing simple online games like Candy Crush or invest in a longer-term game such as Minecraft. You could scour YouTube for hilarious videos or catch up on the latest celebrity gossip on a magazine site. How about having a little flutter & see if you can turn a small amount of cash into a big win!
7. Sort the house out
Being stuck indoors is an ideal time to do some of the housework you may have been putting off. Rearrange the kitchen cupboards, clean out the fridge or organise your wardrobe. See if there are any items you could donate to charity or earn some extra money by selling them on eBay.
8. Start a recipe book
If you don’t already have one, you could start a recipe book. There are plenty of options of how to store recipes from traditional notebooks to online recipe planners. Spend time online or reading magazines, researching new recipes & add them in.
9. Look through old photo albums
Going down memory lane is the perfect way to spend a wet, rainy day. Flick through some old photos and relive the memories of the past. Perhaps label &/or organise them so future generations will know who’s who! If you’re with your loved one, the wedding album is always a good place to reminisce.
