Hand Print Christmas Tree
Use your whole family’s hand prints to make this simple but effective decoration & keepsake for Christmas! Sophie loves any excuse for me to draw around her hands & can often be found trying to do it to herself on her Sketch Board!
WHAT YOU NEED: Hand Print Christmas Tree
1. Different shades of green card (or white card coloured-in or painted)
4. Glue/double-sided tape
5. Thick cardboard tube or strip
6. Glitter/shiny paper/tinsel/coloured card etc. to decorate your tree
Now the fun bit! Let your child loose on decorating the different hand shapes e.g. using glitter or paints! Sophie was determined to use pencil crayons to ‘colour-in’ our hands.
Using the cardboard tube or card strip as the tree trunk, glue the hand shapes on to it, layering them in size order. We started from the bottom with the largest hands. As long as the tube is strong enough, your tree should stand up!
We added a yellow star on to the top & cut out a red card tub shape for the base of the tree trunk. A completed Hand Print Christmas Tree!
